Coming from Glasgow,
We'd be outrgaed if any cheap fool tried to ask for money to let us visit a museum that had our stuff in it.
Fair enough - you visit a tram museum in Porto - it's their thing, so they'll charge a couple of euro entrance.
But, if I visit the Transport Museum in Glasgow it's free. it has to be - I've
already paid for the exhibits.
As a GB tax payer I've already bought these Duxford fighters & bombers. Can't say about any un-necessary museum buildings & their architects ~ they're probably be a stylised affectation that the weak fools that run the museum have felt obliged to employ. Clearly there were available suitable hangars on site from the wartinme - just maybe not a fully whole visitor experience? Entrance should be free to all UK taxpayers and any of our Commonwealth & European brothers that care to call at EGSU.

How do you think the upkeep is paid for. I for one would rather have the stuff looked after by paying to go in than see it rot. This releases tax money to be spent on more important things like health and schools (one would hope)0 -
