HELP White vinegar and Bicarb of Soda

Hi All,
Just heard Martin on the Jeremy Vine radio 2 show and a caller said to use White Vinegar & Bicarbonate Of Soda for cleaning, unfortunately i did catch the whole of the conversation could someone tell me what the mix would be and what you can use the solution to clean.
Are there any other home made cleaning fluids that can be made?

Hi Thrifty,
Vinegar and bicarb when combined create a fizzing reaction so are good to use for cleaning in hard to reach places (plugholes, drains under grubby taps etc).
Generally they are used separately.
