My friends and i have agreed to spend £10 on each other this xmas to cut down costs. Any ideas for a mad chocolate lover?
Thanks

If she lives near Bourneville, how about a ticket to the Cadbury's factory? Highly recommended!!

Failing that, how about a copy of 'Chocolate: Sweet and Savoury Recipes' by Joanna Farrow. Published by Hamlyn and they are the cream (if you pardon the pun) of recipe books! Retails at £12.99 but Amazon sell it for £9.09. You'll have enough left over to include a bar of choccie!!

    I like chocolate too!!!

You could always make her some chocolate truffles or fudge. Homemade pressies like that always go down well with my friends. Lots of fudge recipes on the Moneysaving Old Style board, or PM me if you would like some chocolate recipes.

What about that gorgeous posh hot chocolate - Think it is Charbonnel and Walker - but they sell it at Lakeland Ltd for about 7.95 + postage. There is a delia chocolate book too. Or what about a fondue set?

    Hi Wendy,

You can order the Thorntons (chocolate) catalogue for free which should give you some great ideas for pressies. hmm...looks delicious, and that's just the front cover ;):D

Or as a cheaper version. Amazon have a Typoon White Two Tone Ceramic Chocolate Fondue Set for £9.97 (sorry, I don't know how to do a link to it for you).

Oxfam have a Green and Black book and choc bars - so you can feel virtuous too!

How about some chocolate body products far less fattening than the real thing.
M and S had some really nice chocolate bath products and I think that Bodyshop usually do them at Xmas.
As a self confessed chocoholic I would really appreciate this as I am trying to lose some weight.
Philosophy do some nice stuff but not within the budget.

If you have an outlet centre near you check if there is a thorntons there. We have one and the thorntons has a clearance section. Got my sister 2 big boxes of continental for her birthday a few months ago for £10.

Am going to look again myself this weekend for chocs for a relative

  • How about one of those huge long bars of Cadbury's that they sell at this time of year?

Habitat do a basic chocolate fondue set for around £6 and you would still have money left to provide the chocolate and perhaps some strawberries or marshmallows.
