Can you ask for friend or family for a recommendation?

Do you need face to face advice or are you happy over the phone/internet?

yeah , also many of the bigger ads are placed by the firms that run salesforces who charge higher fees

  • Hi I am not sure which way to go about it, as i dont want to be ripped off and end up with lots of different credit searches against myself and also i dont want to be ill advised as there are so many people advertising this on the net and not sure which are genuine who will just want the commission. I was wondering who would be the best people to talk too, to give me advice on different mortgage brokers or is there no one. Thanks for all your help.

The best people to talk to would be the people who have used the mortgage brokers - they will know whether they were happy or not

As has been mentioned above, avoid teh ads in the papers and just do a little networking with friends or colleagues and see what they say

  • If you don't know anybody who has used a broker you can only see one face to face and decide whether or not you trust them. If you don't then go elsewhere.
