Like the heading says, from 20 Oct 08 until 31 March 09 (excluding 19 Dec 08-11 Jan 09) you can travel anywhere in Scotland,now including to/from Carlisle for only £15 return if you are 55 or over.

Thanks for that. We usually plan a few day trips when this deal is on. Kyle to the north west is our favourite. Keith to Inverness (about an hour in Inverness) which gives you enough time to buy a sandwich at M&S :j then back on the train for the trip to Kyle. Then a walk round Kyle or the bus over to Skye then return to Kyle and catch the same train back to Inverness.
Another day trip to Dundee or Perth and at least 1 day to Glasgow and another to Edinburgh. :T

Aw glad it helped you, know from my work that this offer is very popular and that folk don't always find out about it til too late. Might be good for some Christmas shopping.
