overdraft getting higher and higher

We have an overdraft of £1200 and we have gone over this so the charges started about 8 months ago, now it stands at £1700 with all the charges being added on, we tried to stop them charging interest and such but they carry on knowing we have no way of getting back in the clear again. How do we stop it ???? It's getting higher and higher we can only afford a couple of pounds towards it when we worked out the budget and they are not accepting that also. Any advice would be welcom
Just to add we have a seperate bank account so it is only the overdraft left at lloyds.
