First Over Payment

I have joined the MFW club today!!:beer::beer:
My wife and I have had our mortgage for a few week now and have made our first over payment on the mortgage today of £1k.
The money went from my account and was applied instantly to the mortgage account via the faster payment system so the interest is reducing immediately.
Can't wait to make many more over payments and get the interest down.

Well done you two!
I made a £1200 earlier in the year, it's a great feeling.
A few years ago we used to overpay £50 a month but had to stop when hubby had his accident. So it felt great to have saved the £1200.
Keep up the good work! :beer:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Blimey well done ..
I felt good managing a grand and only managed that one in one go because I had stoozed £7000 so had the cash up front ..Otherwise it is month by month whatever I have to spare ...but it feels good knowing your knocking a big hole in the repayments.0 -
