Hi, Doctor told me a couple of days ago I have a kidney infection.I have been off sick from work for 5 days with what i thought was a bad back.I am due back in work tomorrow as my self cert is up.I didnt ask my gp for a doctors note or his opinion about wether I should stay off work or not.

So i am only 2 days into the antibiotics,I feel slightly better although kidneys aching again in the last hour.So should I go to work tomorrow or go to GP in the morning for a Doctors note.

I work as a Prison Officer.

Hello, sorry you are clearly feeling poorly.

Do you feel well enough to work?

If you don't I would suggest you need to get an appointment for the morning and take it from there. If you do feel well enough to work, then hi ho hi ho, its off to work you go.

Only you know what your work involves, and whether you can do what you need to do.
