HELP - maternity clothes

Options
Anyone know anywhere to get good quality but cheap maternity clothes? and does anywhere do decent maternity stuff rather than the awful patterned peach tents they do in places like mothercare...I don't want to stop being trendy just because I'm pregnant!

  • New look does a large range, and if they are the same as the rest of their ranges they are bound to be trendy and fairly cheap hth:D

    Ebay is ok as well
  • Hi,

    Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Mothercare actually have got much trendier in the last few years so well worth a look. Ebay is worth a look too. Most of my maternity come from topshop (jeans and trousers and some tops), mothercare (for tops and cardigans), Isabella Oliver (jeans and tops - very pricey but really stunning), and mamas and papas (tops and cardigans).

I vaguely remember a friend of mine telling me that peacocks now do maternity too so that would be great if you are on a budget.

Also check out the belly-belt as this will help keep you in non-maternity trousers a little longer.

    Good luck with your pregnancy.

  • Also red herring at debenhams maternity. Some of that is quite nice and very reasonably priced.

I've got most of my maternity clothes from H&M.
The range is only available in some of their larger stores but it really is great value and looks fab too.
I also echo EBAY where I also got some H&M maternity clothes

i got a nice pair of jeans from M&s and then bought a lot of strechy tops and baggy tops from primark, and they proved to much better than the proper maternity tops i got from dorothy perkins.
  • I got a lot of mine from Topshop and H & M too. both were really good quality and lovely things. Although some of the Topshop things can be a bit pricey

I agree with barmybabybugaroo- Mothercare have got quite trendy so give it a try. I also bought a winter coat from Primark and some smock tops- no maternity range, but all in larger sizes.

Oh and Peacock have a small maternity selection- I got a top in the sales for £2 :T

    Congrats on the pregnancy!

  • Congratulations!

Ebay has some bargains just now as it seems to be quiet selling wise also try http://www.more4mums.co.uk/ as they have a selection of cheap maternity clothes - some are designer and end of season stock but also ex gap trousers from the US etc.

Primark is also good for lounging stuff - just get a bigger size.
  • I've been getting my maternity clothes from New Look, H&M, Mothercare and eBay! New Look are very reasonably priced - some of their maternity jeans are only £12 full price! Those ones are designed more for earlier pregnancy though I think cos now I'm 7 months they are too small!
I did look at Top Shop but they seemed REALLY pricey!

For my winter coat, as I only have less than 2 months left I've got a cheap one from Primark in a larger size.
