Yeah, I get £1,000 every 3 months for uni, £600 of that goes on the train fare and I want to use some of it to pay for driving lessons as I won't spend £600 per 3 months on petrol to my uni...

How much would the petrol and parking be for driving to uni?

Do you have a young person's rail card / student railcard?

I can't have a young person rail card as some of my lessons start at 9am so I have to get the train at 7.30am so I miss it by 3 hours...

Parking is free at uni, petrol I'm guessing erm £60 a month but my friend at uni is going to pass his test some so we might be able to carpool

No I said I have "no NCB", I don't think you can get them as a provisional driver but I would have to check that.

Sorry Damita. Either eyesight or brain at fault there!

    Hi Damita,

Just saw you SOA. Are you sure you should be paying that much on your payment protection insurance? Also, I think it's the case (verify this) that PPI won't pay out for the first 6 months of you losing your job ie. when you most need it! Most people will have found a job to replace it by then and personally I don't have PPI myself. £31 per month is over £360 per year.

    Just my opinion though...

Looks like I will be averaging 6,500 a year from bursaries and grants, and 2,000 of that I won't have to pay that back, this is all maintance money not including the money for the tution fees...

Looks like I can leave my job or at least get diown to just one shift and spend all my time on uni work :)
