Credit aggreement littlewoods again

to cut a long story short.
Requested a copy of my signed credit agreement with postal order which was banked. didn`t recieve anything. Write again. after 45 days or so, recieved a credit agreement, UNSIGNED. Write back asking for the true agreement which I`d signed.. which I sent recorded, it has been signed for, but I haven`t recieved anything, nor recieved a statement from them this month.

I originally started down this route, as they were not willing to reduce my payments to anything less than £20 a month (I only owe them £364 ish) and started threatening me with legal action if I didn`t pay it.

Should I write to them again?? They are doing my head in !!

  • We have had exactly the same problem with GUS about a £1500 balance. Following the advice on these boards, I learnt that without a signed agreement they are going to find it very hard to get you into court. I would write them a letter saying how much you can reasonably afford, and enclose a payment for that amount. Keep a copy of all your correspondence and keep sending them regular monthly payments. If they get it to court a judge will see that you have made offers, they have been obstructive and could even award them less than you offer. We also did this with Lloyds UDT, we had a h.p agreement for £150 a month, could not pay and offered £75. They would not accept, took us to court where the judge awarded them £60 per month. Plus interest frozen, plus the period of a year where no payments we made because they would not accept the reduced offer.

Hope this helps and best of luck.
