Can anyone tell me how many payments I should make on a loan before trying to switch it to another provider?

    I think you can switch to another provider anytime. However, nobody here can tell you how much it will cost you. Read T&C of your loan.

    I have worked out that it will be cheaper, however I have had the loan since october but the first payment is not due till december. Would it be better to wait till I have at least made a payment?
