Thanks for the tips guys, I will give bicarb another go and see if he notices!
Queenie-yeah he has a seperate one for drink and food, that would be a disaster to mix them!
He also can't really take everything seperate as he works on building sites (ceramic tiler) and barely has time to pour himself a drink or something to eat, let alone stop to make a drink! He doesn't say what the taste is, just sometimes its a funny taste or smell. Personally I hate flasks *yuk*0 -
Well if after these suggestions he is still complaining, challenge him to clean them any better!!! :-)

If its a metal flask you can nuke it with caustic soda. Make sure you don't get any on your hands or leave where children can get it (its acid :eek: ).
You also need to rinse it out and then soak it in ordinary cold water for 24 hrs.
This is the last option short of buying a new one if all else fails.
