  • Most Debenhams have Benson outlets therefore wait until they are having a Discount day, I expect there will be quite a few in December.

I bought a bed from Bensons this time last year in Debenhams on a 20% day and received 10% off.

Also got delivery within 7 days!!
  • We got a great deala few weeks ago aat Debenhams. Prices were already about 40% off original prices in the Bensons sale. Then we were at the Debenhams big event which had another 20% off that. Plus we haggled and got the warranty mattress protector thrown in too! (£50).
We also had £660 in Debenhams vouchers to spend so all in all we got a £2,000+ Memory Form Elite bed and headboard for about £850. It cost us under £200 cash.

So try and time your bed purchase with a Debenhams sale. They will be able to match or better any Bensons deal and get you anything the larger Bensons stores stock.
  • Stay away from the Stevenage store (in Rosebys). Quick to take your money; shocking customer service.
    Reassuringly expensive

Stay away from Bensons store (Preston) once they have your money they aren't interested, never known a company with such naff customer services.
No reliance should be placed on the above.
  • Having spent almost £1000 on a bed and headboard from Bensons, in Debenhams Oxford St, we are still battling after 3 months to get a refund (£200) for the useless headboard. There's is the worst customers service we have ever experienced!! Forget the discounts, if you know the make of bed you want, get it from somewhere like John Lewis, at least you know they operate a customer service unlike bensons who dont know what that is. The next step for us is the small claims court.
  • I agree. Don't touch them with a barge pole! Bought and paid for a single bed and headboard from the Guildford branch in November. We were promised delivery on Dec 12th. To cut a long story short...the bed arrived after threatening to cancel the order on Monday of this week...appalling customer service. I wouldn't mind but the bed, a single, cost in the region of £700.

The bloke in the Hanley store was great. Not only was there a half price sale on but we got 2 foam Dulopillows (they charge £27 each for them) free and a 15% discount on a new matress for our 4ft bed. And because we are having a superking we could choose a quilt set and quilt free.

Delivery is Friday as booked and I had a text today saying it will be in the morning.

Fingers crossed but all being well I would recommend that shop.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I was in M&S the other day and happened to notice that their beds are very fairly priced; and there is currently either 10 or 20% off, so it is well worth a look on their website. I was very pleasantly surprised.
    That's Numberwang!
