Bummer - I missed it
There's a program on Friday, ITV, Trever MacDougal Tonight all about bankruptcy. Should eb good, the researcher (Ross) is a really nice guy and seems to want to show that bankrupts are not itinerant hobo's but everyday people that have just had a spot of bad luck! There are many paths to tread to find true financial enlightenment, some of them are clear of obstacles, others have huge piles of doggie DooDoo in them in which one can easily tread. The journey is not made easier by the fact that the financial institutions blind fold us before we set out on our route.
Just to be clear, I am an IFA specialising in Mortgage Finance, any views expressed here are my personal opinions and are not to be construed as financial advice of any sort.If you like my comments please click the 'thanks' button0 -

Well, I had a chat with Ross Charnock th researcher, and I think they are trying to highlight that Bankruptcy is growing at an alarming rate. I hope that they don't do what so many other programs have in the past and get some smug wotsit beaming all over his face that he is now debt free! There are many paths to tread to find true financial enlightenment, some of them are clear of obstacles, others have huge piles of doggie DooDoo in them in which one can easily tread. I hope not! It's certainly not like that for me and for many others! There are many paths to tread to find true financial enlightenment, some of them are clear of obstacles, others have huge piles of doggie DooDoo in them in which one can easily tread. I was on Radio Five a couple of weeks back on a programme about bankruptcy.
The caller before me was in possession of a dreadful attitude. He went bankrupt to the tune of £42k including £950 spent on one night on champagne and many thousands on limo's and nights out. His attitude was exactly as described above.
I fear it may be the same person. I have been bankrupt for three months and life is certainly not a box of chocolates.
Best wishes
