I fell into the Payday loans trap with both of the companies mentioned. Though I had far more issues with PoundstillPayday.
Both have it in their Ts & Cs that they can contact your employer, but as mentioned above, they can not get any information about you other than the fact that you work there. It's more likely they would do this when you take out the loan as confirmation you are employed. They have nothing to gain by doing so if you default. To get an attachment on your earnings requires a CCJ.
Personally I get on well with my HR dept so I told them I had problems and asked them to clear anything with me first. They've never had any calls.LBM : March 2008
