Speaking as a cranky middle-class Trot I am assuming the market for second homes is being hit far worse than the old fashioned market (buy house as home to live in).
That picture looks like a council estate, where someone has decided that instead of the usual "no ball games allowed" they will encourage the younger chavs to have swimming parties all night, every night.

I cannot think that anyone right now is buying a second home in Spain. Even retiring out there is not such a great option now that the pound is weaker against the euro.
Friends did just that about 6 or 7 years ago on a very fixed income of about £120 a week from a pension. At the time it was just about affordable with a few odd jobs thrown in. Not only is the exchange rate less favorable but I was shocked how much prices in general have shot up in just a year.0 -
I have come to the opinion that horseinhatman is only here to cause trouble. He is very condescending and threatens to report people for silly reasons i.e. as someone called him a trowl!
MY ADVICE, IGNORE EVERYTHING HE/SHE SAYS! DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE HIM/HER (OR ANYONE ELSE WHO ACTS ACCORDINGLY) AND EVENTULLY THESE TROUBLE MAKERS WILL LEAVE... Do not give them a reaction…
I understand that there is a time for having a laugh, but if someone needs advice and I believe that I am able to assist I WILL! I do not believe in putting people down when they are facing serious problems!!!
99% of people who post feel the same and I am very proud of that fact!
Well done everyone!0 -
Oh come on, don't be silly.
It's the internet - it's not real!0 -
I wonder if I am really on Ignore...?
Or does the stupid loon lie about everything? Like reporting posts, yeah right. Wouldn't want to draw attention to himself as teacher would spank his behind.
Or am I the alter ego of HIHM, from his twisted split personality....Mwa haha haha?!?!
Pancakes anyone?0 -
