around 9 years ago i opened with natwest an account that allow me to go overdraft with a charge (very naive i know) of 3.50 pounds a day, the overdraft went in two months from 500 to 1.500 only for overdraft charge that i could not cover as i lost job and consequentely health problem. after slowly recover i tried to negotiate with them through a legal advice bureaux but after few letters they interrupted the communication, the lawyer said it was probably bacuse i was in a very low income.
four years ago i eventually being able to open an account with another bank tho all applications of credit card refused
now i just checked my credit report with experian and instead of my actual bank there are the details of the natwest, how can i clear my record of them?

This will stay on your credit report 6 years after the date of the last default. Have they agreed to write the debt off? Are you on a payment plan to pay it off? If for example in April 2004 the last payment was made on the account, or it was closed or agreed to write off then the last default would be this time and therefore it will fall off your credit report April 2010. If this is still open or the balance hasn't been satisfied then it will remain in default and continue to appear on your report until it is closed and 6 years from this date
You should be claiming these charges back anyway, see the link on here on how to go about doing this if you are unsure.
I hope this helps, sorry if ive not made it very clear

How long ago was it that you paid the last payment to them?? Once there has been no contact or payment on an account for 6 years it becomes statute barred. Im pretty sure It would be up to the DCA to prove that you owe this money and even then it wouldn't be enforceable after the 6 years (if no payment has been made in this time)
