£20 off Learner Driving pack

:j I was given a code for a learner driver pack to get £10 off but on the web site it already has 10 quid off the original price so I saved £20. The pack seems really good and has a load of CD's, Dvd's and books etc. There are no driving lessons included but some advise of getting free ones etc.

It was originally £59.99 and I got it for £39.99 so was well pleased. It has a £125 voucher for holidays but I havn't tried to use it yet. If it works well I will put the code for that on-line. I think the contents are worth about £60 and with the holiday voucher I'm quids in. The code I used was LPA2 (you have to enter it in caps or it doesn't work, which I found out the hard way and had to go back a few steps.) It can be used on https://www.learnerpack.com

  • That looks great! I just checked the website, and there's a pack for people learning to ride a motorbike, so I'd like to buy one for my brother - he wants to start learning in January, and keeps asking me for dosh to help fund it all...

Em - do you know if the code works for the biker pack too? :o

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I won, I won, I won!
I got a similar one for free with the Tesco BSM package with 6 lessons which came to £45 in clubcard vouchers plus free simulator vouchers for 3 hours and £1.50 off lessons with bsm.
  • I can't see why it wouldn't work for the biker bit as well. Keep me informed as too if it works. Might be a good prezzie but Im not into riding motorbikes myself.
  • :j the code worked for the biker pack too!! :j That's £20 I've got spare to spend on a couple of bottles of plonk...(for me!! )

btw, I have seen a couple of other packs in Tesco & Halfords, but they haven't got nearly as much stuff in, and they're not aimed at bikers.

When my brother's pack arrives, I'll let you know what I think! :D

Seems a bit steep for stuff you can pick up for £30 individually,

I mean paying for leaflets? what's that about?

"know your traffic signs" - surely the signs you need to know are in the highway code?

L Plates are cheap - maybe £2, the highway code is £1.50, the theory test book & the Hazard Perception DVD come to about £20 -

and the discount voucher seems a gimmick to get everyone saying wow what a good deal. Is it the kind where you have to spend £1000 to get £125 off? or a series of smaller vouchers for specific companies? It doesn't seem to say much about the voucher on the website.

A bit too vague for me to splash out £60/£50 or £40 on it.

  • I had look on the backs of the products and it all added up to about £55 not including the L Plates. The L plates are differnt from ones I seen before as they are double sided with "caution new driver on the back" which I thought was cool, they don't have a price on them so not sure how much they cost. But they seem better than the sticky ones as they can be taken off and on and thats what I need. It was conveniant as well so Im not complaining. I still havn't tried the voucher but will do oand when I have I will reply. I got a thompson voucher recently from McDonalds and it was not worth much really. Lets see what happens with this one. For some people these vouchers are great but for people who know how to use rian air and expedia etc they are not so useful.
