is a short settlement payment a full and final or is this letter a load of rubbish?!

just wanted to give everyone a quick update! MBNA emailed me back and said:

I can confirm this is a full and final settlement and this will reflect this on your credit file.

so i am pretty happy!

i havent been able to get hold of ndl or cccs today at lunch to go through it all with them , but i will try later.
now just to figure out how to find the money as dont get paid til the end of october now! might have to do some ebaying pronto!!

my daughter had same prob with Virgin 'forgetting' about the 0% deal. Told her to get Cust Serv on the phone and threaten to go to Trad Stds....Bingo, 0% back. Dont muck about, go straight for the neck, I know how vicious you babbits can be!

thats good news pepe, i cant believe that they have the cheek to change it! i wonder how many people out there have had their 0% changed and either not noticed or haven't contacted them to complain?!easy money for them i guess!bloomin cheeky banks!
