Do my childrens savings account count for benefit limits?

My kids have a normal Smart 2 Save account which i have to have my name on as their guardian. I could take money out if i wished and pay in to it whenever.
My question is: Will this account and the amounts in it be taken into account when my contribution JSA is worked out. I have recently been made redundant and would like to know the answer before i make my claim.
