Was this a request for the customer credit agreement?
If so, did you include the £1 payment? Was this returned?
The 12 working days run from whenever they received the letter and continues even if they need to send away for the documents.

You say it was O2 - was this an airtime agreement you were requesting?

If this was an airtime agreement that they are trying to get proof of, a CCA is no use. I would have advised a subject access request (SAR) but this costs £10. So as long as they are looking into it, i would just wait and see what they say.

If you are certain that this debt is not yours, i would wait until they get back in touch and send the "prove it" letter (which costs nothing). I wouldn't waste any more time on them if they are looking into it though - did they say when the debt was from? Could it be almost statute barred?
