  • Have you checked out the horby website for ideas ? An actual horby trainset is going to set you back a few ££££'3, how much do you want to spend ? ? The hornby site will give you a good idea on whats available and an idea of spend.

We bought our son the Thomas & Percy Electric train set for his 3rd christmas and it cost £89.99. But he doesnt play with it much now at 5 unless supervised as it is so delicate, it is more of a display thing, but he loves it dearly. Grampa buys add ons every year for chirstmas so the hornby site is realy good to show what is available. we dont necessarily buy from them however, just use them as a guide, we shop around then on ebay or other toy stores on the web. (I have used mailorderexpress this year for bits)

    hope that helps a bit ? ?
