((hugs)) for Janey
As SL says, I'm sure your Mum will settle down. It took my kids a while to get used to being left at a nursery (even those who'd previously been to a child minder), and I would imagine it's much the same thing...... It can't be easy to suddenly find yourself surrounded by strangers, and with someone else dictating your regime (ie. when you get up, eat, go to bed). But things did get better, and in the end the kids loved nursery and used to complain about being picked up -- so I'm sure your Mum will be fine soonCheryl0 -

Morning everyone.I've been looking at my figures for 2009 and working out what my direct debits/standing orders will be as I will have paid a couple of debts off this year so payments will be different.woohoo.I've just had a quick read of " a payment a day" thread.I'm going to try to incorporate it into my savings plan.I don't like all my direct debits ect coming out on same day of the month.I like to have them on different dates.Usually 4 of them. The 1st, 15th, 21st and 28th.Don't ask me why I just do lol.I've decided that on these dates I will check my bank and transfer any odd amount left into a savings account rounding my balance down to the nearest £10.Does this make sense? I won't be making a payment a day but will be making 4 payments a month.I already clear my purse daily of anything less than a £1 coin and my savings pots have been growing steadily.i'm hoping my savings in my bank account will do the same.I will keep a record as it will still be comingout of 2009's budget. If i've rambled and lost you on my new initiative then I'm sorry ( I know what I'm talking about lol)
Hugs to Janey.I'm sure your mum will settle in really soon. The home and staff sound lovelylost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

Morning all
Hope you're all surviving the cold weather with limited heating to keep costs down!! Did finally succumb to putting the heating on this morning as DS woke up with lil cold hands and DH and I have both been really achy past few weeks which we think is due to being cold at night. We're only gonna use it when we need to which hopefully won't be too much.
Have just checked my diary for this week and realised I have 3 market research meals and cinema tickets for Tues night [thanks to another forum on here] which will mean no food shopping required this week I hope which will keep me in budget. Am finding Spending Diary is the best thing ever it really keeps me in check. Have also been telling my BF all about this forum and the make £1000 in 100 days forum and will be sending her the links later. Enjoy your saturday peeps - we're off to a James Bond themed bday party tonight for DH's new boss which should be fun0 -
afternoon all.
have spend some of the morning going through old statements and such like. found water bill and didnt realise I pay it over 10 months.....so thats now an extra £50 off my budget for next year:) AT the mon, I have 2 budgets everything included in the 4k challenge and everything else, I am trying to reduce both of these figures so I am really pleased about knocking some more money off!
I have half cleared out the kitchen now as the kitchen fitters start work on monday. I have made a makeshift kitchen in the dining room which will have to do for a week. kids think its quite exciting and tbh its hard work finding a home for everything kitchenwise but it will be so worth it to see my lovely new kitchen in a weeks time!!!November NSD's - 70 -
Hello all,
Haven't got the washing machine or BM on but will get to it. Instead we have been here and there and everywhere today. My college had open day today so took DD there to see the animals. Her favourite was the big boa.
Then went to a farm that has farm shop and cafe to ask if they do children's parties and they do! So fingers crossed that I can arrange DD's birthday party there. They will call me on Tuesday. It will be fab as the children can jump in the straw mountain, drive on trailer and tractor and see all the animals and then have a picnic lunch. And the cost is very reasonable. On top of the cost I only need to get the birthday cake and party bags (pound shop - here I come) and I would like to get some tea and biscuits for the parents.
Only actual spend today has been wood chip and food for the animals. I can buy shredded card from my work placement for the ratties much cheaper than ordering online.
Not pleasant weather here. I can't do all my washing in one go as can't take it outside to dry and inside don't have enough room - bother. Anyhow off now to get on with the tasks so that I can have tomorrow off.
Tasks for the weekend:
- sort out spreadsheets
- do some accounting work and send off invoice
- make enough bread to use all the whoopsied filling I got (and can of kidney beans I intend to make into filling as well)
- do as much washing as I can get dried
- make potato bake in oven and find recipe to use my leeks and cook them
- do MB
- have a fun day Sunday
Hugs to everybody!!!

Hello Everyone!
Well I thought i would be bored today BUT my step brother asked me down to Blackburn for his housewarming party.. apperently he has been trying to get hold of me all week but im hardly on msn these days he says
So we went to Blackburn on the bus and got there about dinner time and set back off at 3.15pm, as my "friend" was working near Blackburn so he stayed for a bit and then took me home.
I feel like im getting down about spending saturday night being bored, But kida are tired and i am too. I think im down because i thought i had £11 in my bank but now i have 11p in my bank today and i not spent anything on my card today. I may have a little drink later whilst watchin x factor.
Not got anything planned for tomorrow, going to make the soup i should of made today and have a lazy day me thinks. Need to iron school uniform and DS needs to do his homework ready for Monday.
We are attending the school's church for harvest fesitval (I think it called that) on the 18th October (i think), He has never been to Church but i have been wanting them (us) to go for a long while, so why not start on 18th me thinks. My DS will sing some songs and i will feel so proud, whist supporting the school
I have gone on about random stuff and i dont know why..think im just bored to be honest. May go and have a bath as kids are winding me up and that way they will play in there rooms whilst i take a bath..then it will be time for there bed.. where im having trouble with my DD2 who wont go to sleep and gets out of bed and sits on stairs about ten times a night.
Anyways hope everyone is ok and having a good day xxSealed Pot dec 08 - dec 09 so far £27.67, Live off £4k Spent £330.20 GC £1,200 for 2009 Spent £50.78 PaD so far £650.07Debts: L/woods £154.00 C/One PAID O/D £649.90 Next £299.95 O/D PAID Gas £72.60 Electric £155.73 Mum £640.00 Orange £490.320 -
