Just finished my little excursion into the world of Bingo. I tried to sign up to four sites but one failed to take my deposit .

In total I deposited 40 quid, played them and was able to withdraw 41.20, so broke even at least (actually extremely lucky!!). I'm still expecting 25 quid cashback but 40 have already tracked :T. I think I play it safe now and only do free scratchcards and games like I think some of you do. A bit more rewarding and less time consuming than daily clicks :D

Also updated my spreadsheets and made them a bit more detailed this afternoon. Will update my signature as soon as the bingo money has registered in my account.

  • Our boiler is broken. Brr.

Also a supplier at work has lost a laptop with lots of personal details on. My NI number, address, D.O.B, employer details and all my pension info. I don't think my bank details were on it but that's still not good.

I'm sorry to hear that. Seems to be the week of bad news. It's horrendous, how can someone loose a laptop .

Hope this gets sorted soon and the boiler too (hopefully not too dear!).

  • Actually rereading the letter it sounds like the laptop was stolen from a car rather than just lost, but it really shouldn't have been left laying around.

The only good thing is I don't have to pay for the boiler... my landlady does. I still have to put up with cold showers and no heating though!

Good and bad news today..... I got an email saying I had won some theatre ticket vouchers:beer: Should really use them as a present for next year but may be naughty and use them as a free treat for me and OH:D

Bad news was car needed new brakes and a tyre. £208  The shameful thing is that I am so pleased that it happened now so that I don't have to include it in next years challenge!!!!! I think I may be getting obsessed already and it's still 2 months before I start:rotfl:

:T Just got the two big xmas presents for my parents organised - a webcam (2 for 1, one for me, hope the cashback comes through this time, had problems with Cu!!ys before) because we only see each other twice a year. And a friend of a friend's going to make a personal unique perfum for my mum, that I know she'll love - for only 20 pounds (well it smells and looks more expensive, that's why I think "only" 20). The smaller ones (homemade stuff) I'll start making the weekend after next when I got the house to myself). :T

Our bonfire night consists of free fireworks via looking out of the windows (warmer that way) Large jacket potatoes with beans sweetcorn and reduced mozzarella, all heated together for a truly autumn looking topping. Parkin (£1, hope to learn to make it for next year) and home made popcorn. Finished off with a bottle of pure orange juice each (15p reduced from 63p)

Sorry to hear about the laptop Lynda, not good! Our shower gave up the ghost this morning - seems to be the day for things breaking - so we've just shelled out £70 on Eb@y for a new one  I had no idea these things were so expensive!

Interesting thought on the insurance CW, will need to look into it nearer the time. It must be possible, I guess it just depends how much. Don't plan on having a thatch roof so that'll help.
BB, I love sprouts, one of my favourite foods and v good for you!
I am tired of Macbeth but have reasonably enjoyed it - if only the same could be said of the kids tomorrow ;)
PTMN, can I come round yours? :D

  • Well still got the parkin left. Its weird, where I used to live, would still hear the odd one going off till silly hour, here they all stopped about an hour ago. But a few glowing embers can still be seen from bedroom windows. You would have been more than welcome Bails.

    Hi all,

I'm just in from a party, it went well, another one tomorrow. I had my tesco vouchers delivered today, £180:D . I saved up £130 via christmas savers and £50 for clubcard points. I'll need to write a shopping list so that I spend it sensibly on things I need and it could help with the stockpile.

Bails, the cob houses are really gorgeous. I hope you can get one of your own one day.

I'm still keeping a watch on what I'm spending, I think some of my friends are going to copy me and come onto this site, frugalitis must be catching!!
