im at my wits end after divorcing my husband i am left to pay the mortgage which is a tracker due to ill health i am not able to work and therfore in receipt of benefits the intrest is being payed by them but i av had to ask for a reduced payment on my mortgage monthley amount due to this i am in arrears of three thousand pounds and increasing every month i am afraid that the mortgage lender will try and take reopossesion of my house ther is only ten thousand owing on my mortgage any advise would be welcome

If it is a 'joint' mortgage then your ex is still acoountable to pay his share.
Regardless of your split.
10,000 is not a great deal left to pay, So it shouldn't take as long as you think to clear it.
But if it is a 'joint' mortgage then your ex has to be informed he has to make repayments even that he has left.
If the mortgage is solely in your name, then you have to arrange a payment plan with your lender.
In the worst case scenario and the lender decides to start proceedings then the court would ask you how much you can pay per month.
And as long as you offer to pay then the lender cannot do anything really.
But that is the last resort.
