  • There is a kart track in Ballyclare, It's called Speedway Karting. I'm sure if you give them a phone they could talk to you and advise of what age, safety requirements etc will be in place in order to participate.

Sorry I can't think of any others, but I'm sure someone in Belfast or close by will know ;)
  • Isn't there one in Bangor or somewhere like that? Owned by Eddie Irvine? I can try and check it out.
  • Just checked with DS no 2, and yes, it is in Bangor on the ring road at Balloo. Owned by Eddie Irvine. No age limit - they even have small karts for younger kids.

I think there is also one in Newry.

    (I think)

DS also says they have great snooker tables.

    Hope this helps.

Haven't been to Eddie Irvine's, but Superdrive (outside Portadown) has easily the best karting track I've been on in NI - and it's outdoors, so it's much better. And it's not actually that expensive either.

DA , the karting track at Ballyclare is very well run, and they are very tight on bumping into other karts ;) so it would be good for a younger person, there is also one in NEwry that is very good, think it's called formula karting...

Just for clarification - it is on Balloo Road, just down from the Dept of Education (which is on the main Bangor to N'Ards road).
  • Speedway Karting, Ballyclare. Scabby old Karts but a decent enough track so that overtaking is possible.

Ballymena Karting. Tight track, it turns out to be a procession. I can see a lot of peed off 14 year olds.

Eddie Irvine. Excellent track, plenty of scope for over taking and nice new carts. Go there.

I'd agree about Ballymena - far too small.

Sounds like either Eddie Irvine's track or Superdrive would be the place to go then.
  • Think theres one in Newtownabbey/Glengormley direction
