This sadly is a problem many people experience. You should simply keep your comments short and sweet. 'Thanks for your call but I will only deal with you in writing'. A little white lie to those in work or to ask them to be on your side should do the trick. I would if it was for my work colleagues. As for asking them to stop calling at work - not much of a chance. You could ask them in writing. Best hope is that they can't find credit agreements because then it is illegal to pursue the debt, after the statutory time given.

tell them that you are likely to lose your job if they keep calling work, then they will get even less out of you.
Or confide in your boss and ask them to say the same thing.....:D
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Sorry Scania who have you missed the payment to? If it's your creditors and you haven't started your DMP you need to send the token payment direct to them I think. What date does your DMP start? We have sent token payments of £1 to all of our creditors and our DMP starts in November. This month I'm trying to save as much as poss before the DMP payments start (we have 2 MOTs and 2x road tax to find :( ) Phone them yourself to inform them of the situation before they call you at work. Give them your CCCS ref number too. Egg asked for CCCS contact number too. If you have any accounts that are online you can delete your work contact numbers there. We have requested that all communication is in writing but have still had a few calls at home. I've told any with work numbers I cannot be contacted there.
Best wishes, I think this is the hardest part of the DMP process!

If its a payment to a creditor you have missed then you need to send it direct to them. It takes a while for he CCCS to set up payments.
If they call you at work just say you are unable to speak to them at that time but that you will happily take their call at home later in the day. When they ring back just give them your cccs ref and ask them to deal with them direct.
As sarriep so rightly says, this is the most difficult time with a DMP. But it DOES get easier.
    Good luck

Thanks so much for your advice !!!! I sent all the paper work today to CCCS but they said should start October !!!! Shall i try and ask for November start!!!! I sent Direct Line a token payment but they still rang:confused: I am going to ring all my creditors tonight to tell them to remove my work number before I miss any payments with them. Do they have to remove the number ???? I am dreading all the phone calls ,!!! How long does it usually take to settle down .

You could try sending this letter to your creditors as well if you haven't already

    Hi Again

Yes, my creditors all accepted my DMP. Barclays initially said no but were persuaded by the CCCS. And they were my smallest debt!!

It can all seem overwhelming at this point. Don't worry, it does get easier. And once your DMP is up and running its a lovely feeling knowing your debt total is going DOWN rather than up. I often sit and marvel at the totals on my CCCS statements!
