missold endowment, told too late to claim

I was missold an endowment, and complained. Was refused compensation cos it was (just)over the three year limit, should I have pursued this? Anyone else have a similar experience overturned? My last contact with the company was 4 years ago, kind of gave up on it.

Not if the three year limit was applied correctly. Around 2/3rds of endowments are time barred now so it would be about right.Anyone else have a similar experience overturned?
If applied correctly then you wont get it overturned unless you have spent the whole period incapacitated or have another good reason why you didnt complain in the three years you were told there was a high risk of shortfall.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
