- whats their recording capacity ? 1,2 hours
thank you
Pixels / resolution are similar, Pixels is the number of dots on the screen, resolution on a camera is the amount of detail it is able to capture. Don't worry about values the figures are only usefull when comparing cameras, the higher the better - all other things being equal.
Zooming, ignore anything to do with digital zoom, it's an electronic con trick to enlarge the image and not a true zoom. Optical zoom is what you must go for, this is done with a glass lense (just like on the old steam driven cameras of old!!). The best optics give the best pictures. The higher the value of optical zoom eg. 10x 20x etc the more you can "zoom" in and out (wide to telephoto).
Your query about minidv tape has been answered, it's only drawback is that you have to transfer the video in real time over the firewire link. Yes you have one if you have the card in your other post.
You can get cameras now that will record direct to a DVD, but not at the lower end of the price ranges.
I have said before, at this time "minidv" is the best for cost vs quality and versatility (providing you have a PC to manipulate the video and burn it to DVD).0
