It says its not valid for me too, but expires on 12th June, does that mean I can't use it on 12th June?

Hi Folks,

I am planning to buy an new hifi system from play.com, but before I do, I wondered if anyone had any discount/promotional codes for play.com, that they are not using/planning to use?

The RAC code 5% still works but has been changed, read this from hDUK

*Offer excludes electronic, PC, mobile, tickets and playtrade products. Ppl are reporting it still works on all products but no such luck for everyone.

It can take a fair bit of effort to get this code to work so decide for yourself if its worth it or not. (Should take less than 5 minutes)

Go to the site below (or just click on use voucher)

Click on get code (if it asks you to register skip to down to **** in this guide)

If it gives you a code straight away then there is a good chance it wont work but try it anyhow - if play.com* says code expired or does not work with this account etc... then this is normal as that code has already been taken. (If it comes up blank, just hit refresh and then retrive code to display the code)

Click refresh on your browser/back/next whatever you can until it comes up with a form to register (if all else fails try to clear your cache, cookies, etc and close and open your browser and start again and if it still says you already have a code try clicking on the play.com link on the left of the RAC screen)

In the online form fill in whatever for email **BUT IT MUST BE UNIQUE -**
Enter a membership number or use ACDI0809 for 'RAC Direct customers'
Then enter whatever into the nextpage - extended registeration

It should then come up with a 'get voucher' screen, so click the get voucher button.
(if the voucher area is blank, click refresh on your browser and then click on reteive code and that should display your voucher)

PHEW! Well done - hope that 5% was worth it

Next time you go back to the link RAC remembers you, so clear your cookies, cache and restart your browser. You normally must register again to get another working code.

NOTE: Each code can only be used once. Please read the comments if your having bother as there is a lot of helpful advice.

*To use the voucher on the play.com checkout, on page 2 of the checkout 'Pay & Confirm' click on the Orange button on the right hand side saying 'I have a promo or discount voucher' and then enter the code in the box that appears

Dont forget - If you use the code, then cancel the orders that used the code, it should be valid again.
