Noodles
Thanks for posting
EDIT. Looks like I might have been a bit hasty I am looking into it further as Chop Suey seems to be an Americanised Chinese dish.0 -
As far as I know I am spelling it right but there are no Chop Suey recipes on BBC Food or UKTV food.
There is plenty of info on wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chop_suey but it doesn't help a great deal
Apparently Chop suey can also be translated as "left overs".0 -

That's why I asked for help - I got everything from pork to tuna!!
I thought that it was noodles, then regretted the fact that I checked on Google.Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188

Chop suey (Chinese 'mixed pieces') is an American-Chinese dish consisting of meats (often chicken, beef, shrimp or pork), cooked quickly with vegetables such as bean sprouts, cabbage, and celery and bound in a starch-thickened sauce. It is typically served with rice but can become the Chinese-American form of chow mein with the addition of deep-fried noodles.
Chop suey is part of American Chinese cuisine, Canadian Chinese cuisine, and Indian Chinese cuisine. Filipinos also have their own version of chop suey. The typical Filipino-Chinese variation includes wood ear (also known as tenga ng daga in Tagalog; lit. ear of the rat), carrots and chayote along with the cabbage. Some may even include bell peppers and/or cauliflower.
