Is anyone else applying to do any Christmas temping? I've applied at Argos, Boots and Woolies. It's been nearly a week now and heard nothing - I've had shop experience etc. thought they would be snapping people up. I've never done it before - is it very competitive? Also, which is the best one to work at in terms of discounts etc? I'm mainly buying for kids this year so I'll mainly be buying toys.
Thanks in advance

I did a bit of Christmas temping a few years back in Jane Norman, but my role was full time. Are you looking at being a full time temp or just working part-time? It can get very busy over Christmas working as a temp, and most shops just pay min wage. I always felt i worked 10 times harder than the perm staff, yet i got paid much less and treated differently, but that was Jane Norman, not the shops you have applied for. Also you may have to work Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and during the sales, so if your happy with that then def go for it for the extra £££.

Hi, I've also applied for christmas temping jobs. I've applied at Woolies and Boots, was doing Evans but their online application forms a tiny(too small for me to write on) so I'm going to go instore tomorrow and ask if they have applications there. I've just printed off my Argos application form and going to try WH Smiths and all the card shops too.
I've not heard back from Woolies or Boots yet0 -
Hi Don't forget the supermarkets as well, you may get food cheaper!Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

Where do you find online application forms? Is it main site - i'm thinking of doing this as all pennies go on bills so thought if I could earn bit extra might actually be able to buy hubby a crimbo pressie - not to mention pay some of the wolves at bit more!

There is a lot of competition out there for temp jobs. I work for a very small store and we have about 100 applications a day just for one temp job. It's so much better to go into the store and speak to someone if you can rather than do it online, face to face contact counts for a lot.Payment a Day : Creation £1416.05 Cleared June 2017
