I know I am sad having started wrapping already, but I am beginning to build up rather a large quantity of these things.
Anyone have any ideas as to what to do with them? I have a 3 year old daughter who loves cutting/glue etc., but my creative brain has abandoned me.

Giant crackers??? You could cut the tube to make loads of mini tubes and stick the sides together to make a christmas tree dec or advent calendar. Sorry but I cannot think of anything else just yet.The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

Generally ours don't live very long... but they make good pretend trumpets and binoculars/ talking implements. Until they get soggy through enthusiastic talking while giggling...
At that point they go to the compost heap.
Also small leftovers of papers get put inside the most sturdy tubes for protection.0 -
Cut and make into decorative crakers for your tree.....cut and paint or stick things on to make personalised napkin rings for your xmas table?"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

They make the best binoculars. Or chimneys, or telescopes
Think they could go on the compost.
Sorry not very originalComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
or, depending on what other presents you have left to wrap, you could use them as disguise.....
we *always* buy my grandpa a toblerone, and when i was little we always used to wrap it up in an used tube so that he wouldn't be able to guess it was a toblerone from the triangle shape ...(the fact he guessed cos what else would be in a tube is besides the point, my 5yr old brain didnt think of that :rotfl: )
or, cut one into a few shorter tubes, tape 'em together, stick on cardboard, and you have a pen-pot thing
or, cut em up, paint em brown, add green paper to the top and you have very large trees for lego or train sets etc
...think thats all i did with them....now im all grown up i dont do such silly things with themOne thing...that sets pulses racing...that gets hearts pounding...for which there is no substitute...only YOU can provide...blood.

we used to use them as swords when we were little! All of the above suggestions are really good, to be honest, I'd let your child's imagination run riot and leave them to it with coloured paper, glue, scissors paints etc and see what they make (apart from a mess!)
Seriously though, here are some links for crafts and recycling household items for craft.

I blow raspberries down mine as it annoys the dogs. They eventually get thrown away because they are soggy and chewed. Hours of funHere I go again on my own....0

Just spoken to the mother-in-law. Apparently my husband and his sister used to prop them against the table and drop his small play cars down them and see whose car shot out the furthest at the bottom.
Thanks for all of these. My dog's gonna love me blowing raspberries...'My father told me to go for it.
