Hi,

Does anyone know if the US Apple store will shop to the UK?? Or has anyone ever done it??

The Ipods are HUGELY cheaper on their site - £103 for 16gb instead of £149 on the UK site - so I would love to be able to save a few bob in the run up to [STRIKE]ripoffmas[/STRIKE] Christmas...

I think when you put your shipping details in it will either send you to the uk website that or you will end up spending loads extra in shipping and customs charges as its coming from the states.

You should also remember when looking at prices on US web sites that they will not include sales tax (ie. VAT) which is charged at the state level - so even US customers aren't getting them for that price.

And as *Dee* says, even if the US Apple Store did ship to the UK (which it doesn't as there's a UK store) you would have to pay duty on your purchase when it went through customs so you'd end up paying at least as much as you would in the UK.

Don't forget import duty when arriving in this country as well.
