One, final update. I make my first mortgage payment tomorrow on the house of our dreams, no specialist mortgage needed, just a normal high street lender! To cap it all off, I'm due to become a father in three weeks.
Keep your heads up, the rewards make the whole struggle worthwhile.0 -

So pleased to hear that everything has worked out so well for you and hopefully it will inspire others who are in the same position as you were to realise that things do get better.

Annual update from a debt survivor, and the opportunity to share my tale with people who may just be starting out on the journey and struggling to keep the endgame in their mind.
We had a son, Charlie, 11 months ago now, and he's just amazing - we're also starting to plan some home improvements (without loans) and I've moved over to the MFW board way of live.
I never thought it possible I would have a mortgage, let alone the ability to pay it off quicker than the term!
To everyone here - Stick at it, the rewards feel epic and you'll all deserve them by the time you're Debt free!0
