ok maybe not the supreme bargain of the year by any stretch but at homebase they are selling the v- slicer for £9.99 .
for those who know not what the v-slicer is, it is one of those kitchen utensils that seem a good idea and you buy it, only to use it for the 1st month before popping it back in the box and storing it away.
and yes i did buy 1
they are on the shopping channels for something stupid like £25 plus £5 p&p
i have yet to try mine but as my son will be having a birthday party soon and will have lots of little friends coming around i will be able to make those carrot sticks without half the carrot flying onto the floor.

Does anyone know if the "vee slicer" is the same as the "v slicer" which is advertised? I saw a "vee slicer" in Asda and was tempted. I like the looks of the TV one but I'm not paying £30 :eek:0

I had a genuine V slicer and used it for some 20 years until it wore out, then I purchased a new one, its a wonderful item, wish now I had looked on ebay, where you can get them for half the price and the genuine new item too
