Is it wise to have your home insurance and contents with the same supplier as your mortgage? Northern rock together

well i would shop around for them like anything else.no point having them with the mortgage company if there more expensive.
from my experience you can get exactly the same cover a hell of a lot cheaper. im with barclays for my buildings and contents insurance (very good). £160k 3 bed detatched with accidental cover for contents is £20 per month.

If your mortgage provider offer best deal, no harm in taking it.
Best to shop around for comparisons as well though.
