Personal Pension Options.

Hi,
my wife starts a new job at the beginning of 2006.
The only downside is her employer does not run an in-house pension scheme as they are a small company.
She was previously part of a contributory final salary pension scheme.
As she will be in the 40% income tax bracket, what options are available to ensure she can claim back the tax on any money invested.
I appreciate the options are limitless but even a summary of the basics would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
