You will receive phone calls and letters but you shouldnt worry about them if you have your dmp with CCCS. the phone calls can be ignored or you can ask them to deal with you in writing only ( they usually ignore this though!) Or you can tell them your CCCS number and put the phone down, do not be intimidated by the calls or letters because they will threaten all sorts that they cant actually do. if your debts get passed to a debt collection agency it's usually a good sign that interest will be stopped. I'm afraid Lloyds are terrible but dont let them upset you. after your DMP is up and running you shouldnt receive any more calls or letters, i havent had a call for over a year. good luck my dmp is the best thing ever.
  • Salstar, don't worry. Setting up a DMP with the CCCS is one of the best things you can do.
Yes, until its all set up you WILL receive phone calls. But, in my experience, as soon as you say you are going with the CCCS they tend to tail off. Barclays were the only ones that were slightly awkward with me and even they accepted it in the end.
    Good luck

  • Hi

I have one with Lloyds and they kicked up a right fuss at first sending letters from solicitors and all sorts, they were just auto generated letters though, I was told to ignore them and a month later they accepted so there is light at the end of the tunnel

  • thanks, really appreciate your replies, will try not to worry, but it is difficult and it took me several months to face up to my debt.
