Hi there
I hoping there is someone out there that can help. I did my stage 2 part 1 and 2 and couple of years ago. i am going for an assessment test for a job and have been told that it will be to test your wordprocessing skills. i am confident I can still do it but want to get a really good result. does anyone out there know where I can get my hands on some course notes or practice papers. before wednesday.
i really want this job and to do well in the assessment.

try going into a college, they have loads of old practice test papers.0 -
by test your word processing skills, they usually mean, test your ability to type, and to structure a letter.
They won't be too concerned about the finer points of RSA II, as long as you can practice your typing (all that time on MSE should help!) and brush up on laying out formal letters you should be absolutely fine.
Remember, RSA II is 35wpm but this in reality is quite slow for formal typists (I can do about 95wpm) and you are usually expected to be in excess of this. Also remember its not just about speed, accuracy is as important!DONE: Great North Run 09! Raised £452 for the National Autistic Society

I've been for a lot of these tests with temping agencies and they usually just give you a speed and accuracy test. They wont have time to go into the finer points of spacing the letter out accurately like they do in the exam (I remember it - what a nightmare). Just relax and don't fret.
