  • I do the same thing but I usually wrap the gifts I buy as soon as I get them home, and then when I am tempted to give them their gifts beforehand I think of the fact that I won't have a gift for them at Christmas.

chocolate, alchohol etc are always fairly safe bets. Plus Somerfield is app doing green and blacks for a £1 a bar atm!

With other little gifts i've tried to buy things according to people's hobbies; i.e. got my friend Jo a set of oil paints. Or else as my budget is a bit stretched, I got my friend's little girl a bottle of matey bubble bath - not massively expensive but a little treat and it's something little Gracie loves.

  • Personally I would do hampers, if they aren't grateful for them then I would get book tokens next year lol but thats just me. I am doing hampers for nearly everyone this year, already have most of them done :) Get yourself over to the finished baskets thread for some great ideas and lots of friendly people to help :)

  • If there's someone I don't know what to get for, then I just usually get them a box or a tin of chocs, some sort of smelly gift set or a little booze gift set thing. Then if that fails they can have a selection box and tell them I'm cheap lol.
