Shame on Bar Ha Ha and their 2 for 1

mmm...2 for 1 my eye...just returned from trying to use the Bar Ha Ha voucher and were turned away as the posh fish finger sandwich and skinny fires is excluded from the deal - does not make any reference to sandiwches not being in the deal...attach a copy of the email sent to them this evening

Hi there

We visited the branch in Guildford today with the 2 for 1 voucher to enjoy a nice lunch out.

We ordered 1 x Fish Fingers and 1 x Fish Finger S/W + skinny fries. The server told us that he needed to check with the manager as he did not think some of our meal was covered by the voucher. He came back and said the sandwich and fries were not included. I asked to speak to the manager but was pointed to a supervisor. I asked him to show me on the voucher where it said that this excluded sandwiches – he could not. I asked him to explain why he would not allow us to use the voucher – he could not.

The server then said something about the tills not being able to take the deal?!

This feels like a blatant con – getting people under false pretences and then welching out of the deal – there is noting on the voucher that excludes anything except use on a Bank Holiday Weekend so how can this branch have been so wrong in the way the treated my wife and I – or where they simply following a shabby con trick aimed at diners who did not have the foresight to show the voucher prior to ordering. As a customer of both the branches in Guildford and Kingston for the past 3 years I am deeply upset with my visit today and want to know:

• <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1">What is the deal? <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1">2. If the branch is right why is this not on the website or the voucher?
• What are you going to do to compensate me for the 15-20 mins I wasted in your establishment

Where did you link to the voucher?
On the links page from this site it says main meals only.
On the HaHa site it says dine, not snack.

I had reason to complain to Bar HaHa about 6 months ago regarding the treatment me and a friend received when trying to use a similar offer voucher. All I got was a pathetic e mail from someone in Head Office saying if I booked a table online they would ensure everything would go smoothly for me...........as if I was going to go back!!!

I went to the MailBox yesterday and thought the service and food excellent. I sure the vouchers state main meal only? I think there might be a 'main meal' section on the menu.
It is a little mis-leading as it says a friend can dine for free... as long as he/she doesnt have any side orders, pudding or drinks!!!!
