Can I transfer my mortgage to another property?

Options
I purchased a house for £180k in Nov 06 and put down a £18k deposit.
It is now valued between £165-170k.

I have the chance to reloate through work to another part of the country where the houses are cheaper and the quality of life is better. Work will pay for all the legal fees, the homeowner pack, removal costs and estate agents fees.

However I have no deposit to put down on a new property as the value of my house has decreased.

Can I transfer my existing mortgage to avoid paying another deposit?

    In short, no.

Although your mortgage may be 'portable', the mortgage will still need to be re-assessed as if it was a new application.

Because you have no deposit this would be a straight decline with any lender and therefore wouldn't be possible.
