Hi,
My dad has been suffering from depression and recently been admitted to hospital with serious health problems. Having been through his unopened mail from the past 12 months he has had CCJs, owes council tax, Inland revenue and a couple of other debts. The bailiffs have also been round
He has been unemployed for a couple of years and is not on any benefits. He has a couple of thousand pound left from his redundnacy and is in arrears with his mortgage. As a family we may be able to help out in a small way financially.
We have written letters to his creditors explaining the situation and included a letter of consent for them to talk to us about his finances
What do we do first? We dont know where to turn and are beside ourselves with worry.......
Many thanks for any constructive help.

Hi Nelly :hello:
sorry about the situation
I think the best thing you can do is phone one of the debt charities
Non-profit Debt Counsellors' List
and hang about here and see what the other ones can advise
