I think a nectar point is worth 0.5p and a clubcard point is worth 1p cash, or 4p in deals.

Thank you so much - I'll have to get my last receipts together and add on my points now that I know.

There is a great Amazon thread here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=598632
I've just started selling for work and this thread taught me much much more than the actual Amazon site could tell me

    I've smashed my target on day 2 :D :

Hi all-I'm going to join the challenge this month as I'm having to borrow money from my maternity savings to pay for my shopping this month as I had my service and mot today and two new tyres I didn't realise I needed have eaten my shopping budget so having to borrow from my savings. I want to put this money back pronto so am joining the challenge but I will set myself a realistic target of £100 this month-hopefully what I'll spend on shopping. Today I did a mystery shop and will bank £5 plus £10 expenses on the 15th. Going to look for more mystery shops and will give Amazon a go and ebay. Looking forward to the challenge.

I haven't joined in the challenges recently (mainly due to limited internet time thanks to work and family commitments!)

I've got a wedding to go to later this month and could do with concentrating my efforts on making a little extra cash, so I'd like to belatedly sign up to the October challenge please.

    My efforts so far:

£71 claimed from Topcashback (although this was mainly from car insurance bought a few months ago so it is cheating a little bit. It does help me to feel a little bit better to have some money in the kitty though!)

£51 saved by shopping around for a cheaper hotel rather than staying at the one where the wedding reception is. (I don't normally count money saved but I very nearly just booked the recommended hotel and forked out £95 for a single room  before thinking twice!)

I'm also likely to book the train ticket using two single tickets which should be cheaper than a return.

This evening, I've submitted a review to DooYoo (another 50p in the coffers) and I'm going to do some surveys. (Been playing Gala bingo intermittently without any success. Not so keen on this new free bingo!)

Hope everyone is still feeling fresh and motivated at the start of the month. (Apologies - haven't had the time to read through all of the posts.)
