Hi, I just wanted to update those of you who were so kind to give your advice a couple of weeks ago.
My wife and I, after much discussion, have decided to go ahead with our original plan to sell our house to clear our debts, rather than accept the offer of a loan from our relative.
We've told the relative, who was disappointed and said they feel we're doing the wrong thing ... which, to be honest, made me feel like we're doing the right thing!
At the moment we're sorting out things like getting a HIP and then it's going on the market as soon as we have that sorted.
I just wanted to thank everyone who responded. I'm pretty certain, were it not for those responses opening my eyes, our decision would have been to accept the loan.
James.
