Great spot jacktyler! Online magazine publisher Zinio is giving away a free year’s subscription to a US digital mag of your choice. The offer includes everything from Reader’s Digest to Playboy (all are US editions).
To see an online magazine, first browse the publications on offer. Then click on the magazine you fancy and enter your email address and password. You’ll then be able to click and read the mag. Log in next month, and you’ll be able to read that month’s edition too.

Is it definitely the full length ones? Brilliant; I miss reading Elle as it's too expensive!!0

Well that was free and easy! I like the idea of this - hopefully a UK company will offer something similar (and have a reasonable price as opposed to hard print)

nice I've just downloaded penthouse. No more sticky pages! lol
Only joking I plumped for the gaming one. Wish the choices were a bit better but not complaining. Good find!0 -
Great - thanks!0

It is a good find, note though that they are the US versions of the magazines so not always directed at the UK reader.
Not much of an issue with most mags though!0 -
I can't find ELLE in the list on the site!0

It's a matter of choice, of course, but I prefer to wait to see if any security or spam problems crop up with this offer - Zinio reader is comparatively new and I already have a browser and Adobe reader. Not saying it's a bad idea, just be careful - I'd be very surprised if there isn't a fine-print agreement somewhere along the line for both DRM and/or commercial spam.0

Zinio Reader has been around for years and a lot of magazines (inc. UK ones)use it for their electronic magazines. I used to subscribe to a computer magazine a few years ago and had no problems with spam etc. Its just a program for reading magazines, similar to Adobe Acrobat.0
