help needed for sons xmas pressie die cast buses (wanna)

he collects buses basically, hes only four and hes mad on them. hes asked for a 'shiny bus' for xmas, so i go on ebay and the only thing they have is a golden jubilee commemorative gold plated bloody expensive one..where can i find a bus which is as shiny as say, tin foil and has working doors? i doubt anyone will know but i may as well try-obviously the normal toy shops and argos and die cast shops are out, ive been to them all for him over the years, im thinking maybe someone knows a collectors mail order site? cheers.

i know they have loads of buses, i spent 2 hrs last night looking... there are two 'shiny' as i said, golden jubillee real gold plated models. the others are just metallic, not shiny-as i said i have searched for hours, and emailed corgi too...

My OH is a collector and says what about something like ebay item number 6990194672. The same bus should be available in shops like model zone and their staff are usually quite helpful as well if you explain what you want.

However, it is unlikely that any of these collector buses are really suitable for a 4 year old as they are quite delicate.

Soo who now has 3 x 1/24 scale buses (which are huge!) in the house

thanks for asking for me, i just checked it out, its similar to the corgi (or is it dinky, lol) silver jubilee buses, but id say it was metallic as opposed to shiny..my son may have mild autism you see (he is being assessed currently) in case anyone is thinking im being too specific or spoiling him, its well known children with autism often have a fixation on a certain type of toy, often transport and boy is he fixed on his bloomin' buses!!

ive seen them on ebay, theres about 6 sets, swings, carousel, seesaw etc etc. ive got the page on favourites but all the sets seem to have bits missing or they are selling them as two lots-if i miss out on the one and get one it will be pretty useless. ebay is the last resort if i have to (so please dont tell me to look on ebay lol i know!). i know all these sets are discontinued but as i want them in time for xmas is there anywhere (esp in bham) that sells them? they arent in any toy shops ive looked in every one. also i want the west midlands gold and purple golden jubilee die cast bus. i have looked on ebay and many sites, so id like to know if anyone knows specifically where i could get that exact bus. they are for my four year old son, anyone who can definitely lead me to these will get many many thanks for their time! :snow_grin

I had a friend who worked for Playmobil's main offices for the UK in Basildon, Essex. Unfortunately, she doesnt work there anymore, but they were always very helpful in there whenever I wanted anything. They dealt mainly with toy shops (toys R Us, Argos etc), but they dealt with the main offices in Germany (I think it was Germany?? Sorry - can't remember...Might have been Denmark actually - but hey - thats beside the point). They can see what discontinued stocks are in what shops (if they have any), and they can always order from abroad. I am pretty sure they can deal with the public direct. Their number is 01268 548111.
