Can they eat it? she is about 9months old. Am talking fresh corn on the cob (obviously I dont expect her to chew it off the cob :rotfl:) Just thought fresh from the garden they are so sweet but unsure whether can digest it etc or if there is any danger from it:confused:

I am sure they will love it. I used to give the kids it in the cob - they never actually bit anything off at that age, but they sat in their high chair for ages sucking the juices out of it!!!!! aaahhhh brings back memories - happy days!!! :-)

No one can digest sweetcorn or tomato pips for that matter, it reappears out the other end for everyone, its just more noticable in babies as we tend to examine their doodoo's
Mine love sweetcorn, we started giving ds it at 8/9 months when he started to pick up food.
  • Yep AFAIK no-one digests sweetcorn THAT well :rotfl:

  • My DS loves sweetcorn, goes loopy for it. He is 15 months now but has had it for a good while, 'on the cob' or just 'niblets'. We are having babycorn in a pie this week and he will be getting to try that too!
(But yes it does make for interesting nappies lol- especially if you use reusables like DS!!!!).
